FAQPage structured data that marks up a genuine question-and-answer section.
FAQ schema is the FAQPage type from schema.org: JSON-LD that names each question on a page and pairs it with its exact answer text, so a search engine can read the Q&A pair directly rather than inferring it from surrounding prose.
It only applies to content that is actually a question followed by its answer, on the page, visible to the reader. Marking up text that is not phrased as a question, or an answer that does not match what is shown, misrepresents the page rather than describing it.
The common mistake is adding FAQPage markup to a page that has no real FAQ section, hoping for a rich result. Search engines have progressively restricted which sites get the FAQ rich result in the results page itself, so the reliable value is the structured signal it gives about the content, not a guaranteed visual treatment.
Semantyra checks every crawled page for FAQPage markup where the visible content is genuinely question-and-answer, flags pages with real Q&A sections but no markup, and flags markup whose answer text has drifted from what is actually shown.
